Caitlin Lee Dempsey

Ms. Dempsey is an associate in the firm’s corporate practice and art law practice. As part of her role in the firm’s corporate practice, she has represented both buyers and sellers in asset and equity transactions, including public company acquisitions and private matters. She has also represented borrowers in term and revolving loans secured by real estate and fine art. Ms. Dempsey has represented clients in international supply agreements and is experienced in corporate governance, including formation and operating and shareholder agreements. In addition, Ms. Dempsey regularly drafts and negotiates commercial agreements for various business needs.

Ms. Dempsey has significant experience in art law, including negotiating purchase and sale agreements, guaranteed bids and consignment agreements. She has also drafted and negotiated settlement agreements in connection with title and the authenticity disputes and trademark and copyright infringement. Ms. Dempsey counsels dealers and collectors of fine art and antiquities in matters of sales and use tax, insurance, secured financing, lending and consigning.
