KECL Advises on Sale of Sugar Foods Corp

Kurzman Eisenberg Corbin & Lever, LLP represented and advised Sugar Foods Corporation – a national leader in the foodservice sector serving grocery, retail, and restaurant brands – on the sale of its business to Pritzker Private Capital. The transaction closed on October 2, 2023.

Pritzker Private Capital – a prominent investment company headquartered in Chicago represented by Kirkland & Ellis LLP in the transaction – invested alongside the preexisting Sugar Foods’ ownership and management team. Sugar Foods’ preexisting ownership and management team will continue to lead the business.

The KECL team was led by corporate partner Joel Lever, with assistance from partners Katherine R. Steiner and Joel J. Goldschmidt, as well as senior associate Caitlin Dempsey.
